Christmas Eve Program Brought the Nations Together in Indianapolis

In partnership with Common Ground West Christian church,  over 150 people gathered for a special Christmas Eve dinner and evening to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.  Food was prepared by the refugee community (from Iraq, Afghanistan, Burma/Myanmar,  Nigeria, Congo,  Uganda, Syria, and Nepal)    A multi cultural service with songs being sung in Nigerian and Rwandan, as well as readings from several languages.   The Christmas story was told of a babe born not as a rich king but as a poor king and for all nations and people.

Christmas gifts were distributed to all the  immigrant, refugee teenagers and children, too.     We continue desire to help create relationships and opportunities for the immigrant and refugee community to thrive.
